COACHING / TEACHING

While working at a theatre in Colorado, Clark discovered his love for teaching children. He started by assistant choreographing a musical revue show for teens. After moving to New York, he started teaching at Annie’s Playhouse (A Performing Arts School), conducting private piano, voice and dance lessons and assisting in musical directing and choreographing for Musical Theatre classes. He also helped coordinate The Broadway Series, exposing children to Broadway and Industry professionals.

In the Fall Semester, Clark worked with Inside Broadway as a teaching artist, traveling to public schools in the New York City area. With a teaching partner, he taught music and choreography to twenty-five third and fourth grade ESL students, with a final show attended by their peers, families and teachers. For many students, this was their first exposure to music, theatre and dance of any kind.

Clark also worked as a Teacher/Musical Theatre coach at Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre's Teen Theatre/Youth Theatre Academy for three seasons. Click here to learn more about the program.
